Read the garment label first
The care label supplied with your garment takes priority over general guidance. Different fabrics, trims and print finishes may need different care.
Prepare before washing
Empty pockets, close fastenings and turn decorated garments inside out where the care label allows. Separate colours and avoid washing sportswear with abrasive items or exposed hook-and-loop fasteners.
Choose a gentle routine
Follow the label for temperature, wash cycle and detergent. Avoid bleach and fabric softener unless the garment instructions permit them. Do not leave damp kit bundled in a bag.
Be careful with heat
Follow the label for drying and ironing. Avoid applying an iron directly to crests, printed names, numbers or transfers. Store garments clean and completely dry.
